District 1 - des Prairies

My wife and I chose to move to Dunham in 2021 for its landscapes and quality of life, and since then we have come to appreciate it even more for its people.

A graduate in engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and a former manager in large organizations, I have been directly involved in the planning, delivery, and operation of major environmental projects. For example: implementing environmental management programs based on ISO-14001 certification, preparing and submitting an environmental impact study for a 150 MW cogeneration plant, managing the operations of a wastewater treatment complex serving the equivalent of 2 million residents — including the introduction of a new technology that turned operating costs into revenues, and more.

More recently, I joined the expert group of the Brome-Missisquoi committee Demand More d’Hydro-Québec and proposed to Hydro-Québec a new route that minimizes impacts on citizens’ quality of life.

For me, it is essential to target projects that match our means, to implement and preserve sound operational practices, and to ensure that our decisions bring real added value to all citizens.

My experience has made me a driver of optimal and innovative solutions. I am highly motivated to contribute to the well-being of the citizens of Dunham.

Claude Giasson Équipe Renouveau Dunham

District 2 - lac Selby

Claude Giasson

I worked as an optometrist in private practice, then at the Université de Montréal, where my passion for teaching and research was born. This led me to complete a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Vision Science at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1994. Upon returning to Quebec, I became a professor at the Université de Montréal, a position I held until my retirement. Together with my students and collaborators, I published around forty articles in international scientific journals. My knowledge of cellular physiology helps me to understand the issues and challenges of Selby Lake, a truly living environment!

I lives at Selby Lake since 2011. In March 2024, I transitioned from being a seasonal resident to a permanent resident.

After becoming an active member of APELS in 2013, I have served as advisor, secretary, and co-president. Over the years, I have taken part in many environmental tasks as a volunteer. In June 2025, I also became a board member of the OBVBM (Organisme de Bassin Versant de la Baie Missisquoi), the watershed into which our lake is part of.

After a fulfilling career, I want to give back to society. By running for councillor, I wish to help address the problems related to the lake and our living environment. I would be proud to represent the citizens of my neighborhood while also being involved in the issues of our municipality. I will be your eyes on the ground and your voice at City Hall.

I have lived in Dunham for over 10 years. The Renouveau Dunham program motivates me to run as a city councillor. I am particularly committed to sound management, ensuring strict control of expenses and taxes within a transparent municipal framework. As part of the Renouveau Dunham team, I will make sure the City’s programs meet the needs of its citizens, improve quality of life, and respect a balanced budget.

Recently retired, I now live in Dunham full time. I worked for more than 35 years in project management and communications at the Université de Montréal and the Parliament of Canada in Ottawa. I hold degrees in History and Communications, with a specialization in Women’s History. I enjoy working collaboratively with partners to move projects forward, and I base my actions on dialogue to address the concerns of the community.

As a tennis enthusiast, I also enjoy cycling and skiing in our beautiful region. As a member of the Dunham Tennis League for over 10 years, I am eager to contribute to improving sports and recreation in our community, while staying focused on the City’s financial health to help ease the tax burden on families and citizens.

District 4 – South

Marc-Olivier Jussaume

I am a resident of Dunham for over 10 years, I am deeply rooted in my community.

As a passionate entrepreneur, I understand the realities of rural life and the importance of preserving the region's economic and social vitality. Growing up on the family farm, I developed a strong attachment to the land, community values, and the kindness that citizens must maintain among themselves.

I believe in the harmonious development of the region, combining innovation and respect for tradition. My background allows me to understand the importance of building a strong, sustainable, and inclusive community.

My involvement on the council will aim to support local entrepreneurship, ensure good management of expenses and taxes, improve access to quality services and preserve our natural and cultural heritage.

In particular, I will monitor the project portfolio to ensure that it respects citizens' ability to pay while being in harmony with our town.

My wife and I adopted Dunham and its surrounding area as our new home for young retirees in 2018.

As a father of four grown children, with a passion for the outdoors and photography, I was a teacher for three years and then a police officer for 28 years, specialized in road safety.

The values and concerns conveyed by Renouveau Dunham inspired me to present myself as a councillor to protect the interests of Dunham's citizens.

Obviously, public safety will be my priority, and I will actively participate in other issues, supporting my council colleagues.

I am a proud resident of Dunham for over four years now.

With a bachelor's degree in industrial relations and a second in human resources management and administration, I am well equipped to guide administrative governance in the City of Dunham.

I have worked in a municipal environment for over 37 years; best practices and municipal processes hold no secrets for me.

My values are integrity, openness, commitment, and attentiveness. I hold on to these values which have always allowed me to provide the right level of leadership in my actions.

The departments that particularly interest me are urban planning, culture and tourism promotion. I will ensure that these departments are well represented at the city council.

Candidate for councillors

District 6 - Village

Linda Boivin

Candidate for mayor

Denis Laflamme

Back in the 1970s, my father bought a cottage on Lake Selby, followed by a farm that I took over in 2003. I established the 7th largest raspberry farm in Quebec there, which I operated until 2014. Still a member of the UPA, I remain involved in agriculture. Since 2012, Dunham has been where I live full time. Dunham is my home!

As a management and information technology consultant for over 25 years, I want to put my expertise to work for Dunham to strengthen administrative practices and ensure rigorous management of public funds. With a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in science, I have worked in various large companies and at the City of Longueuil. My training, combined with my experience, will allow me to gain a clear understanding of the issues and guide council decisions towards solutions that maximize value for citizens.

It’s time to bring our township back — by focusing on realistic projects, rooted in everyday life, that genuinely improve people’s well-being. Let’s keep our feet on the ground, and our town at a truly human scale.

I believe in the strength of a council that is united, competent, and transparent. I’m proud to present a team that is already engaged, diverse, and collaborative — ready to meet challenges with empathy and respect. My commitment is simple: to create real synergy between the council, the municipal administration, and service providers, all in the best interest of Dunham’s citizens.
